Drug Wars
News from the Front
August 24, 2010
Life is certainly a journey. This current economic time has taken a toll on many people. People are turning to drugs and alcohol in record numbers. Maybe you know someone who needs to talk. Spend some time and listen to what they have to say. If you need someone to talk to, find someone. Maybe a meeting is the best place to be - a good source of great listeners.
A friend of mine recently sent me several photos of the way people lived during the great depression. Terrible economic times brought about by many factors but compounded by a severe drought and the scourge known as the dust bowl. After a great deal of consideration, it occurred to me that the children of the great depression later became the generation whom we refer to as the greatest generation because of what they had to do during the 1940s. Isn't that interesting. If you don't get it, drop me a line and I would be happy to explain it to you. (I mean no disrespect here.)
Every day I hear about kids trying different things. Today I heard about a 14 year old experimenting with Crack. Wonder how that worked for him.
I also hear about the legalization of marijuana in different states. Do you have an opinion? Your feedback is welcome. If you keep it intelligent and appropriate, I will publish it here. I would love to hear from you.
