I continued and expanded the area of operation and recruited more distributors but was not much more successful than before.
Then I thought that I could travel around the country and put on workshops to teach business owners how to advertise. Everything worked, but just not very well.
I decided that I needed a change. I focused on just selling The Advertising Handbook and started to market it nationally. That worked too but not to my expectations.
Then I got the idea to convert the Advertising Handbook and the workshop into a film that I could sell nationally as educational videos. I could teach people how to successfully promote their businesses. I worked on it for about a year and then released it in late 1989. I had a big promotion and had some pretty big expectations. Sales of Advertising Success for the Small Business were dismal.
Then I had the idea to produce another film called Virtually Cost-Free Advertising with the same dismal sales results.
